About me

👋 Hi, I’m Ivy (Jiexin) Chen. I’m a Master’s student in Statistics at Columbia University, specializing in Machine Learning and Data Science. I previously earned my B.Sc. (First Class Honours) in Computer Science and Technology from Hong Kong Baptist University, and completed an exchange program at the University of Oxford with a focus on Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning 🤖.

💡 I’m passionate about transforming data into actionable insights and practical solutions. My experience spans both academia and industry: as a Social Media Analyst Intern at StudyCo (Melbourne, hybrid), I built ETL pipelines, ran A/B tests, and grew followers from 3K → 30K+ 📈; And as a Data Scientist Intern at Wisers (Shanghai), developed NLP-based sentiment analysis systems 📝, fine-tuned BERT models (accuracy +4%), and analyzed large-scale Weibo data (500K+ records) using PySpark.
